Hello, my name is Lisa, I am a Registered Psychologist, and I am committed to working collaboratively with you to foster your mental and emotional wellbeing. My approach is centered around the belief that every person has unique ideas, strengths, and resilience, which are essential components of an effective treatment plan. I view my role as a guide and partner in your journey, helping you navigate the challenges and celebrate the triumphs along the way. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood.

My approach to working with clients is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I have a particular passion for working with individuals navigating OCD and anxiety disorders, and I approach this work with a balance of gentleness and directness. I am firm and unyielding with the disorder itself, while remaining deeply compassionate, respectful, and supportive toward the client. I believe meaningful change often requires stepping into discomfort and doing the hard, sometimes messy work.

MA, Registered Psychologist

Lisa Davies

At the same time, I consistently emphasize self-compassion, helping clients learn that growth does not have to come at the expense of kindness toward themselves. I aim to create a space where clients feel both supported and challenged—encouraged to face what feels difficult, while knowing they are not alone in the process. My approach is rooted in humanistic and acceptance-based principles. I do not view myself as the expert on my clients’ lives; rather, I see therapy as a collaborative process where clients bring their own wisdom, strengths, and values. My role is to guide, support, and offer tools, while honoring each person’s autonomy and individuality. Ultimately, I strive to help clients build a different relationship with their thoughts and emotions—one that allows them to live more freely, fully, and in alignment with what matters most to them.

My decision to pursue a career in psychology is deeply personal. I have experienced firsthand the kind of support this profession can offer, and I know how life changing it can be to feel truly seen, understood, and guided through difficult seasons. These experiences shaped not only my interest in this field, but my commitment to showing up fully for the people I work with.

I have lived experience with OCD and have also witnessed the impact of addiction in the lives of people I care about. Through these experiences, I developed a deep empathy for how overwhelming and isolating mental health challenges can feel. At the same time, I have also seen the resilience people are capable of and the meaningful change that can happen with the right support.

This profession allows me to turn those experiences into something purposeful. It is a privilege to walk alongside others as they navigate their own struggles, and I do not take that responsibility lightly. My work is driven by a genuine desire to help people feel less alone, to better understand themselves, and to move toward lives that feel more manageable, meaningful, and aligned with who they are.
